The health of our puppies is guaranteed for 10 days, during which an examination by a veterinarian, at the expense of the buyer, is recommended. However, each puppy has been vet checked and is up to date on worming and vaccines so the exam is not required if the puppy weighs 2lbs or more. If the puppy is tiny toy-sized, we may require a vet check within 3 days. We do guarantee your puppy for congenital and genetic/hereditary problems for lifetime as long as we ourselves are alive to make good on the guarantee. (If the dog were to pass away due to a genetic health problem we would either refund the total purchase price or "replace" the puppy, so long as the puppy is of equal price and around the same estimated size full grown. We also have the right to select the puppy for you, of course considering what you'd like too. Anything smaller than the puppy purchased or rarer may be an added cost to the owner if they decide they'd prefer a different color, gender, or size.) The guarantee excludes parasites and worms which are common for young puppies. We have wormed your puppy multiple times. We have also treated the puppy for protozoans if that is indicated.
If you have any concerns about health problems we recommend calling us before incurring a large veterinary bill. Any veterinary bills will be the buyer's responsibility unless pre-approved with us first. If a surgical procedure is needed we reserve the right to have this done by our veterinarian although we may also agree to have your veterinarian do this. It is strongly recommended that the buyer/owner discuss the appropriate immunizations and other routine health care options with the veterinarian of their choosing at the initial visit. You will receive from us a vaccinations and worming record to take with you for the visit. The "vaccination" informational page on our website should be helpful to you before you discuss the puppy shots schedule with your veterinarian.
With the toy breeds they sometimes have retained baby teeth which may require removal. A good time to do this is about 6-8 months during the neuter/ spay when under anesthesia. Often it is the canines that are being retained so checking for retained baby teeth should be done at 6-7 months as the adult teeth should be in by that time. If there are more than 8 retained baby teeth call us at 507-304-0531 as we may help pay for their removal.
This Guarantee does NOT cover: allergies, undescended testicles, and baby teeth under 8 in which were retained. Seller will NOT replace a puppy due to heat stroke, abuse/neglect, or hypoglycemia. Buyer agrees that they have thoroughly researched one of the following breeds: Poodle, Malti- Poo, Yorkie- Poo, Shih- Poo, and Peke- A- Poo breed, and understand the health issues they can possess. Buyer is responsible for all medical costs of their puppy that is anything non-genetic. (No refunds will be given.) This guarantee covers only the original Buyer and is not transferable.
